Does Kratom offer any nutritional value?

It’s my understanding that scientists haven’t actually performed a nutritional content study on Kratom. So, the exact amounts of vitamins, minerals, and fiber it contains is a bit unclear.

That being said, every person consuming Kratom should understand that it’s not just a relaxant. Studies have shown that Kratom has great nutritional value.

Kratom contains 50+ alkaloids each of which have beneficial effects. It also contains numerous flavonoids, tannins, and phenolic compounds which have powerful anti-oxidant and medicinal effects. Not only that, but Kratom contains an abundance of vitamins, minerals, and fiber.

Thus, Kratom is truly a superfood.

Fiber

The abundance of non-digestible fiber in Kratom is excellent for health, since it helps the gastrointestinal system to properly function. Essentially, fiber helps bowel movements to properly occur and cleans out your system, and indeed this is a common effect of Kratom.

Calories

Kratom reportedly contains roughly 50 calories per ounce, although the body only absorbs 5-10 calories since most of the fiber is non-digestible.
